I still can’t believe you are gone Patrick! We met in Singapore when you Lynda and the kids visited a little over a decade ago. The 2 families immediately bonded and so did the kids as they were around the same age. I felt like royalty whenever I came to Ghana….. you and Lynda would go over and above to make me feel comfortable. I remember when my mum passed away and I came to Ghana, the daily supply of food!! Who are these people my family would ask!!!
You were always so good to me!!! Nothing was too much…. always so generous! Whether it was me fundraising, or you flying all the way to grace us with your presence at Peter’s 50th here in the US or the many conversations around your dinner table whenever we visited in Ghana. I remember our last one so well in your new home. It was the first time I was seeing you guys after our move to the US. We spoke about education in the US vs the UK, I could tell you were passionate about the topic. And you asked me questions about our transition, how I felt, questions that nobody had stopped to ask, but you did and I appreciated that and still do.
I wish we had more time to have more conversations Patrick, over domedo and everything else on your table that was always so good! You and Lynda were always such gracious hosts. Me ooing and aaing over pepper, whilst you and Lynda, wouldn’t even bat an eyelid!
Patrick!!!! Still hoping this is a bad dream, but alas!!! Sleep well Patrick, from the other tributes it’s clear you lived and loved abundantly! We will be here to do the same for Lynda and the kids.
Sleep well friend, you will be sorely missed!!!
