…I thought I would write a tribute about your outstanding personality and personal achievement. I soon realised that would not be necessary, others had said it all, there would be nothing more to add.
Their tributes ring so true, of your generousity, affability, brilliance , achievements and great dedication to friends and family.
So I guess all that is left for me is to reminisce and say my last goodbye. Reminisce about our early days in boarding school from the age of six till our mid fifties. Competing fiercely in chess and scrabble, walking across the communities in Tema to visit friends and each other and for vacation classes. Bonding with our mates in Aggrey house and dreaming together of the future. Little did we know that those would be some of our fondest memories.
You found a perfect balance between professional and social life.
You were by my side in happy moments and in my darkest moments, you were more than a brother. I took it so much for granted and never ever said thank you well enough.
So as the hour approaches, this is just to let you know, I have been so privileged to have you as a brother and a friend in life’s journey. Maybe I will tell it to you when we meet on the other side.
Fare thee well Meganol, Dzudzor le nutifafa me.
