Farewell Uncle Patrick

I preferred to call you Uncle Patrick though in reality you were more like a big brother to me. Perhaps that’s because i have so much respect and admiration for you. From the first day Selorm introduced us at your home in Tema, you and Lynda made me feel so welcome. I was always comfortable in your presence and looked forward to spending time with your family.

I’ll forever cherish your wise counsel and kindness. You loved the boys like they were your own, no wonder they are always asking to visit your home.

Your passing hurts so much, but we hope and find comfort in the words of Psalm 34:18, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. And so as we remember you daily, we pray believing that He will heal the broken hearted and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).

Uncle Patrick, it was an honour knowing you and i’m forever grateful to God and to you for your support and kindness. Continue to rest peacefully in the Lord.

Dzudzor le nutifafa me.🙏🏽
